Booking & Pricing

On our Contact page, please complete our inquiry form with your wedding date, location, and desired hair and makeup services. We'll be in touch within 24–48 hours to discuss availability and next steps.
We recommend reaching out as soon as your wedding date and venue are confirmed. Booking 9–12 months in advance is ideal, particularly during Colorado's peak wedding season. We are also happy to check last-minute availability.
Once availability is confirmed, we'll provide a personalized proposal outlining your services and pricing. Your wedding date is officially reserved once we receive your signed service agreement and required deposit.
A six-service minimum applies to weddings booked from May through October. Hair and makeup are counted as separate services. For example, a bride and two bridesmaids receiving both hair and makeup equals six services.
Additional requirements may apply depending on your wedding location and event details.

Absolutely! We offer hair and makeup services for bridesmaids, mothers of the couple, family members, and other special guests. Availability depends on the size of your party and artist staffing.

Bridal Trials

Yes! We offer personalized bridal hair and makeup trials at our studio in Salida, Colorado. These appointments typically last 2–3 hours and provide an opportunity to collaborate with your artist, explore your desired look, and perfect the details of your wedding-day hair and makeup.

Bridal trials take place at our studio in Salida, Colorado, and typically last 2–3 hours. We'll begin with a personalized consultation to discuss your inspiration, wedding style, and desired look.
During your appointment, we'll complete a full hair and/or makeup application. We can explore up to two hairstyles and adjust your makeup from a natural look to something more glamorous. We can also try lashes and airbrush makeup to help you decide what feels best for your wedding day.
Please arrive with clean, completely dry hair and a freshly cleansed, moisturized face. Bring inspiration photos of hairstyles and makeup looks you love, along with your veil or hair accessories if available.
We also recommend wearing a light-colored top with a neckline similar to your wedding dress so you can better envision your finished bridal look.
Bridal trial fees are due 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations or missed appointments within 24 hours of your trial are nonrefundable.
If you need to reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.

Yes! We offer professional bridal hair and makeup services tailored to your individual style and wedding-day vision. Our team can provide hair styling, makeup applications, or both for brides and their wedding parties.

We also love creating more dramatic, glamorous looks. Every application is customized to complement your features, preferences, and wedding-day vision.
We use professional, high-end products selected for their quality, performance, and beautiful finish.
Our makeup kits feature brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup by Mario, Ciele, MAC, Natasha Denona, and Chanel. For hairstyling, we use a variety of professional products, including R+Co.
We thoughtfully select products based on your skin type, hair needs, and desired look.
Yes! False lashes are included with every makeup application. Our artists carry individual, cluster, and strip lashes and will help select the option that best complements your eyes and desired look.
Airbrush makeup may be available depending on your artist and desired look. During your bridal trial, we can explore airbrush and traditional makeup options to determine which application best suits your skin and preferences.
Absolutely! Whether you envision romantic waves, an intricate updo, understated natural beauty, or sophisticated full glam, our artists work with you to create a personalized look that feels authentically yours.

Wedding Day Preparation

We recommend arriving with clean, completely dry hair unless your stylist provides different instructions. Avoid heavy conditioners, oils, or styling products that may weigh your hair down. Your stylist will provide additional guidance based on your chosen hairstyle.
Healthy, hydrated skin creates a beautiful foundation for makeup. We recommend maintaining a consistent skincare routine leading up to your wedding, staying hydrated, and avoiding new or aggressive skincare treatments immediately before your event. On your wedding day, arrive with a freshly cleansed and moisturized face.
If you're planning a spray tan, we recommend scheduling it approximately 2–3 days before your wedding. This allows the color to settle and any excess product to be washed away. Please let your makeup artist know in advance so we can select complexion products that complement your tan.
Absolutely! If you wear contact lenses, we recommend putting them in before your makeup application begins to avoid disturbing your finished look.
Please provide a clean, comfortable, well-lit space with access to electrical outlets and enough room for our artists to work. Natural light is always appreciated when available. For larger bridal parties, we may recommend multiple workstations to ensure a smooth, organized experience.

Travel & Locations

Yes! Face of Makeup provides on-location bridal hair and makeup services throughout Colorado, including Salida, Buena Vista, Crested Butte, and surrounding mountain communities.
Complimentary travel is included for weddings in Salida, Buena Vista, Nathrop, and Howard. Travel fees may apply to locations outside these areas and will be discussed during the booking process.
Destination weddings and out-of-state celebrations may be accommodated upon request, depending on artist availability and travel requirements.

Complimentary travel is provided for weddings in Salida, Buena Vista, Nathrop, and Howard, Colorado.
For weddings outside these areas, any applicable travel expenses will be outlined in your personalized proposal so you know what to expect before booking.

Timing varies depending on the service and desired look. We carefully plan each appointment to ensure everyone receives personalized attention without feeling rushed.
Before your wedding day, we'll create a customized beauty timeline outlining service times and artist assignments so your morning runs smoothly.
We work backward from your desired ready-by time to create a carefully coordinated hair and makeup schedule.
Our goal is to have everyone looking beautiful and feeling relaxed, with plenty of time for getting dressed, photographs, and those special moments before the ceremony.
We request a clean, comfortable, well-lit space with access to electrical outlets and enough room for our artists to work efficiently. Natural light is always appreciated!
For larger bridal parties, we may recommend multiple workstations to keep everything running smoothly.
Absolutely! We love when photographers capture those special getting-ready moments.
We simply ask that our artists have enough space to work comfortably so everyone can enjoy a seamless and relaxed wedding morning.
Our standard wedding-day services include a designated touch-up period following the final application.
For brides who would like additional beauty support before or after the ceremony, extended touch-up services may be arranged based on artist availability.
Additional touch-up services are $100 per hour, per stylist.

Payments & Policies

We accept Venmo, Zelle, checks by mail, and credit cards.
Venmo, Zelle, and checks are fee-free payment options. Credit card payments are subject to a 3.2% processing fee.
Yes. A deposit ranging from $100 to $500 is required to secure your wedding date, depending on the size of your booking.
Deposits are non-refundable unless your event is canceled by Face of Makeup. Your reservation is confirmed once we receive your signed service agreement and required deposit.
We understand that wedding plans can change! Please notify us as early as possible if you need to adjust your bridal party's services.
Additional services may be accommodated depending on artist availability and scheduling. An additional artist fee of $100 applies for each artist needed beyond the first.
Please note that within 30 days of your wedding, all originally agreed-upon services remain payable, even if someone decides not to receive a service. You are welcome to substitute another person for that service.
Changes or cancellations must be made at least 30 days before your wedding date.
Once your wedding is within 30 days, the full cost of all agreed-upon services is due, even if individual services are canceled or no longer needed.
You may substitute another person for a previously booked service. Booking deposits are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by Face of Makeup.
