How to book..
If you are interested in reserving your date with us, start by reaching out with a few of your details. Include your date and location, as well as an estimate of how many services that you foresee needing on your wedding day. Send me an email at rachael@faceofmakeup.com and I will get back to you within 24 hours.

Assuming that we are available and within your budget, we will start the booking process with a contract stating the terms of the booking, and we will take a deposit based on the number of services expected in order to hold the date. Our deposits are typically $50-$200 and the fee is deducted from your wedding day balance.

Trial Sessions..
Trial sessions are typically 1-2 hour appointments held at our studio location in Salida Colorado. We are most available during week days for these appointments. If we can get you into a weekend timeslot, we will of course do our best, but keep in mind that we are usually on location at weddings during the weekends so having a weekday option is best. Booking your trial session within 8-12 weeks of your wedding day is most ideal if possible.

We do not require that you have a trial session. If you choose not to, you can simply set up a time to chat with us and discuss your look or send inspiration photos and details of the look that you are after via email.
What to expect on your wedding day...
Within a couple of months of your wedding day, we will determine a schedule for our services. This determine what time we will arrive, and when the first service will begin as well as who that will be. It is usually helpful to determine appointment times for each person having hair or makeup done so that they are aware of when they should be there.

When we arrive, we will get set up and ready to begin. We provide everything necessary for hair styling and makeup applications including fake eye lashes. If anyone has a skin allergy or strong preference for a certain makeup product or hair styling product, they are welcomed to bring that along and we will use it on them. Otherwise, nothing is necessary but a lip product for touching up throughout the day.

We schedule our bridal party and family member appointments at 30-40 minutes per service. Bridal appointments are 45-1hr per service unless longer is determined necessary at the trial session, or a trial session does not take place and more time is allotted for tweaking the look. For a larger group, more than one artist may be necessary. This availability is on a case by case basis and will not be guaranteed. A party requiring 8-10 services can be done by just one artist in a reasonable time frame. More than that would require a much longer day.
Touch ups..
Once the last service is completed, we will begin doing touch up services for those who may need a hair tweaked, lips re-applied, or anything else hair and makeup related that has come up since they sat down with us. We usually do 15-30 minutes of touch ups after everyone has been finished. Once that is completed, we will pack up our things and get out of the way before "the dress" goes on and photos begin! If you are doing a first look and would like a touch up after, inquire about scheduling the day accordingly as soon as possible so that we may plan for it.

Our water proof and long wear products will last the day for you. We will provide you with a lip touch up as the bride, and the bridal party should plan to bring something for later in the evening after eating and drinking.
