We made it through 2020! I can't even tell you how many amazing people I met this past year. All of these couples had so many obstacles to overcome in order to go forward with their wedding plans and despite it all, they were all so happy and so wonderful to work with. People ask me all of the time about "bridezillas"!! I get this question, no joke, almost every time that I tell someone what I do for a living. I find it to be kind of a funny question, and I don't mind it at all, but I literally don't have those. All of the clients that I have had the pleasure of working with for whatever reason have been people that I would be friends with. I have the most amazing time with these women, their families, their friends, and their partners. It is truly a blessing in every way to be able to stand beside people on a day like their wedding day. I find myself laughing with them, crying with them, excited for them! I wonder about them when it is over, and I get so tickled to get an email following up on how they have been post nuptials. This has always been the case for me, and I really mean that. This past year though, this one was different. We were all different. Everything was off kilter and unsettling. So the fact that we made it through it, and the fact that FaceofMakeup did more weddings in 2020 than we have since we relocated to Salida, Colorado in 2017 is just simply amazing. The fact that regardless of the craziness, a small business like us, based soley around people in love celebrating with their families (typically in large gatherings!) could survive such a circumstance is so wonderful. Thank you to all of you awesome couples from all of our years for making year 12 a success despite the challenges we faced!
